This cookie policy refers exclusively to the site https://www.kometastore.com/ and any landing pages (the " Site ") and must be understood as an integral part of the Privacy Policy.
- What are cookies
Cookies are small text strings that the sites visited by the user send to his terminal (usually to the browser, for example Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same sites at the next visit by the same user (e.g. log in data, chosen language, font size, other display settings).
Cookies can remain on the computer or mobile device with which the user navigates for different periods of time: the so-called session cookies are automatically canceled when the browser is closed; the so-called persistent cookies remain on the user's device up to a pre-established deadline.
While browsing a site, the user can receive cookies from the site he is visiting and cookies from different sites or web servers. The former are usually referred to as first-party cookies or own cookies and the latter as third-party cookies.
Cookies are also distinguished with reference to the different purposes for which they are applied. Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user (e.g. to perform computer authentication, session monitoring, information storage specifications on users accessing a web page). These are cookies that are essential for the site to function and/or necessary to perform activities requested by the user. Analytical/statistical cookies are used instead to collect information, usually in aggregate form, on navigation by users and on site traffic. Profiling cookies are aimed at identifying the user's preferences in order to improve and personalize the user's browsing experience and/or send him marketing communications in line with the preferences expressed during navigation.
According to the applicable privacy legislation, technical cookies do not require the user's prior consent for their use. Among the technical cookies, the Guarantor for the protection of personal data (" Guarantor ") (see "Cookies and other tracking tools guidelines - 10 June 2021") also includes: (i) "analytics" / anonymous statistical cookies, used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate and anonymous form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself, if tools are adopted that reduce the identifying power of cookies and the third party providing the cookies does not cross the information collected with other information already available; (ii) navigation or session cookies that guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate on the site); and (iii ) functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of criteria aimed at improving the service rendered to the same.
Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are applied only if the user has consented to them. The Guarantor includes among the profiling cookies, and therefore the prior consent of the user is required for them, analytical cookies, when tools that reduce the identifying power of the cookies are not adopted and the third party crosses the information collected with others of which already has (see Provision of 9 June 2022).
- Which cookies are present on the Site
On our site we use our own cookies and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes: technical navigation cookies to allow navigation and use of the site; technical functionality cookies, used to activate specific features of the Site; subject to the user's consent, cookies or other profiling trackers, aimed at observing the use of the Site and its contents by the user to detect preferences and outline user profiles, in order to personalize our commercial communications and the browsing experience in line with the preferences shown while browsing; anonymous first and third party analytical/statistical cookies, to collect information, in anonymised form, on the way in which users visit the Site and to keep track of traffic on the Site in order to improve the browsing experience. The information collected by these last cookies are treated in aggregate and anonymous form and therefore, since they are not personal data, the user's prior consent to their installation is not required. With reference to third-party cookies, it should be noted that the web servers that supply these cookies act as independent data controllers and therefore the user is invited to consult the relative privacy information and consent forms.
The list of cookie categories present on the Site is available in the cookie settings section accessible by clicking on the appropriate button located at the bottom right of the navigation screen.
It should be noted that the Site may also use technical, functional and non-anonymous analytical cookies (in particular, Google Analytics cookies) for tracking and profiling purposes only to the extent that the user has given the relevant consent for activation. and the use of profiling cookies.
- How to change the settings relating to cookies
The user can make a choice and specifically indicate which cookies to authorize on first access to the Site, using the appropriate cookie banner. Even subsequently, the user can, at any time, review their choices regarding the setting of cookies.
The user can also set preferences on the use of cookies through his browser. The instructions for activating or deactivating cookies via browser are available on the website of each browser (e.g. Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
For more information on how to refuse cookies, you can refer to the "help" section of your browser or visit www.allaboutcookies.org .
The user can always refuse cookies other than those strictly necessary, however, blocking technical cookies could make it impossible to use the site, view the contents and use the related services; blocking functionality cookies could limit the availability or correct functionality of some services or certain functions of the Site and force the user to manually enter some information or preferences each time he visits the Site; blocking other categories of cookies, on the other hand, would not compromise the functioning of the Site.
